First about Mil Boots.com. I got a pair of these and they had some material behind the gor-tex that draped in the heel cup that made the right boot a blister factory. I didn't experience any discomfort until I wore them to work to start the break-in. The service staff of this company called Bellville, had defective boots picked up at my front door (AT NO COST), and had a second pair back at my front door in two days (AT NO COST!). EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! The new boots fit AWESOME. Wore them a couple of days at work to feel them out, took them on a turkey hunt, kept my feeties safe and dry. Soon they will be on the trail carrying my backpack. This is my second pair from Mil Boots.com. I also got a pair of Bellville 775s for the snow hikes here. Nice and warm feet on the trail, the stand/blind. Thanks very much you guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!

Vibram soles of these boots are also impossible to ware out. Boots are perfect for walking on the beach ... because sand will not get inside of your mudders. These boots are very comfortable with rubber insoles. I wear my 790's daily working in the yard and every time I get a chance I will flatten a cow pattie ... they look the best manure and mud ... 2 tone color ... these boot rock!

My Bevlle's 790's still have that mud luster look. Hose boots down with garden hose and in 24 hours your mudders will be ready for more mud treatment with out ANY moisture penetration. I got my Belleville 790 sz13W pair off ebay for $36 bucks. Boots have been worth every penny. My 790's have walked in mud swamp terrain caked with gooy mud for hours ... and boots are 100% waterproof ... they have not leaked thur any dirty water. Have Used these Mudders for digging post holes for fence posts, mowing lawn and various yard work activities. My boots now have that hot worn look ... they have lost their tan luster and gone to mud luster. Boots will dry in 24 hours ... ready to cake mud on

I got these 790 boots last week. Took them out to a hike to a local water falls for about 6 hours. From the rain in the last few days, there were lots of water crossing where it was not possible to NOT go into the water. I was in about 6-9 inches of water but my boots stayed dried the whole time .

My pant legs were wet when I went into the water, but did not soak into the boots. I know that most or ALL of the people that were along this trail were completely wet. I am going to get a pair for my wife. I wish Belleville makes one for the kids.

After 30 days in the field, Fort Knox (75-95 degrees, little rain), I have come away with a healthy respect for these boots. My feet were never overly heated even with the temps over ninety. I sought out water and danced around with no leaks. I switched between these boots and two year old steel toed Bates and when I slipped these puppies on I was walking on a cloud.

The Goretex lining does pull off from the boot but nothing that the first year would produce a problem. It doesn't affect the feel throughout the day and the water you do encounter doesn't make the boot water logged heavy.

If you need an all around good boot, made in USA, well look no further. They also comply with the new regs!

I will write an early review for one reason. The service of militaryboots.com. I ordered my boots the day prior to me writing this. The free 7-10 day shipping is quite a bargain. I have them on now and the discount I was using was applied without a reminder email from me. It couldn't be applied the same day so a note was added to my account which was carried out without hesitation.

The second part of this review will be about the boots. I have the 400g insulated boots and I do not remember this amount of hassle to fit them. I am not sure but I think the tongue is designed the best. Either you pull the laces with your teeth while you try to form a good fold or you get someone else to help you. Periodically sticking a pen in the crease to fit the tongue is a god measure too. Overall though I am wearing my boots indoors with heat and padded socks but my feet are not even warm feeling. I ordered these boots for a month long field problem in June and I hope to report back and talk of the benefits of these boots.

I wanted a non-insulated GoreTex boot and this boot fit the bill for my intended use during spring-to-fall on wilderness trails of northern MN. Out of the box, I was pleased with the quality construction (except the finish work on the Gortex- to- leather seam on the top of the tongue it is rather poor compared to the rest of the boot). The fit was perfect even with Smart Wool socks. I wear a 10.5 and ordered 10. It is winter now and I have been wearing them to get my feet used to the boot. The Sierra sole in cold winter conditions (well below freezing) is terrible providing very little traction and they slide on most everything from packed snow to fresh snow (that is why the 4 star rating). I am surprised at how warm my feet stay in this non-insulated boot. I hope the sole of this boot performs better over the rocky wet slippery trails that I will be on this spring, or I will be back to my Rocky boots.

These boots are superb. I didn't know what to expect. I have used Wellco and Belleville in the past (Was issued some Belleville 550 ST, which fit me well). They are ready out of the box and extremely comfortable. I would recommend getting a 1/2 size smaller (I wore a 13 in the 550 ST--steel toed). I normally wear a 13 in all other shoes, but for a solid fit with the boots I had to go 1/2 size smaller. As others said, they are very comfortable and fit well right out of the box. Comparing these to the Wellco's I had--I would take these in a heartbeat every time for every situation.

My previous review tells the story of out sole separation on this boot. This review speaks to a company that stands behind their product (and their 365 day guarantee). I contacted BDU.com about the out sole separation problem (This was 9 months after I received those boots). They contacted Belleville and I had a new pair of boots sitting at my door exactly 7 days later. These boots will be on my feet in October for another slog through northern Minnesota canoe country. Thanks to Lybbi (customer relations associate at BDU) for getting the job done right.

I was looking for a desert tan boot and originally considered purchasing the Belleville 390 (very similar to the boot I had in the military), but my size was not available, so I stepped up to the Belleville 790. Very glad I did. The 790 has a better tongue and ankle collar (both made of leather) than the 390. The 790 is also very comfortable right out of the box. Very little wear-in time required. The 790 is a tough boot and will last a long time. I strongly recommend the Belleville 790 to anyone looking for a great military boot. It's worth the extra cost.

Great ankle support. Speed lacing system, heavier than most hiking boots, but extremely tough and supportive. Made in the USA also. Can't beat that. Good for hiking, hunting, winter (Gore Tex liner), all round use. I got the brown for summer and seeing the ticks easier, instead of the traditional black. Great boots. I usually wear a 14 ee, but site said order 1/2 size down. So I did and they fit perfect, with regular socks. If wearing wool hiking or winter boots socks, I'd recommend normal size. Overall a great boot.
