I normally don't write reviews, but these are worth it!!!!

First, my wife thought I was ridiculous for ordering these and the fact that I was so excited about them.

I ordered these since I have the pants as well and love them. I wore them earlier this month when I took a family vacation to Disney World. The temperature was around 90F and I didn't get that "sweaty" feeling under my shorts(shirt was a different story). My phone fit perfectly in the small "magazine" pocket on the outside and I was able to keep my keys secured in one of the cargo pockets. Plenty of room in these shorts!!!! The best part was when we were in the park it started to downpour and my kids wanted to go on the cars that you drive around in. I went and got soaked, my wife gave me her phone to put in my "ridiculous" shorts. After the ride, I was wet just about everywhere, I was sitting in an open top car just getting the down pour. After the ride, I looked inside my pockets and both phones were dry, not a drop of water on either one. My wallet and keys were also perfectly dry.

Turns out my wife doesn't think they are so ridiculous anymore.

If you don't have these, you need some!!!!

Decent 36W shorts that's true to fit.
Washed in warm water and dried in warm setting and it shrunk just a little around the waist as it stretches about 1 inch.
Wished it had a shorter 7" if not 5" inseam!
The left front side pocket does NOT fit an encased iPhone 5S as it's meant to hold a mag clip.
The side cargo pockets are Smaller than the pant's pockets though everything else is almost the same as the ripstop pants.
It's more lightweight than the Tru-Spec shorts and fits much better, though the side and rear pockets need to be roomier and need a wallet pocket. The side cargo pockets are actually Smaller than the Pant's pockets!
The Tru-Spec shorts have the rear pocket cover flaps which is Much better in design.
The velcro needs to be replaced with buttons so it's more quiet!
It's easier to move around in these shorts due to the design and light weight and the short's length does scrunch up which is actually a good thing on hot/humid days.
Buy when it's on sale as it Is Expensive!

Same as my pant review. I believe I could give them a 5. You can definitely tell quality product..but.. I bought for summer in AZ. not light enough. Supposedly they have some stretch to them, not really and I wear a 36 in every other pair of shorts. These felt like a 42+. It’s possible they make them for bigger guys. But as always this site has a great return policy so now I’m trying the summertime Propper.

I love almost everything about this line of shorts and pants with only one drawback. I would like to see the pocket design or at least material used for the pockets strengthened or reinforced. This being the main issue for me as I have multiple pairs in multiple colors almost all with holes in the front pockets. The only shorts and pants that don't have holes yet were ordered and received about 2 weeks ago.

After a long day at the range I have to say that these pants held up just nice. No stains from getting down on the grass/mud which happened to be wet. Material is great and fits well. Highly recommended.

With the stretch waist band, odd sizes fit perfectly and comfortable 1 size up from the even sizes. For example; a 33 waist would wear a size 32 and so on. The shorts are very durable and somewhat light weight. I like the added plastic hanging loop and deep pockets. extra magazine pockets are nice though I wish more thought would be put into weapon/gun holding ideas in the large pockets.

I have 4 of the 5.11 long pants and love the cargo pockets. I bought 2 pair of the shorts last year, Love them. Just added 4 more. Next time there is a sale I need to by some more shorts and pants. I would highly recommend 5.11 products. ( retired Correctional Officer 20 years, 12 years as a Combat Engineer in a reserve component of the Army 12B30 E6 SSG). Just saying.

My first pair of the 11" ones, but I like them a lot. Only problem with shorts is that the small pockets don't fit a smart phone. I don't know if they are for a phone (maybe for clips?), but a phone is what I use them for and it sticks out too much. On the long pants, the pocket is juuuuuuuust deep enough to be useful, although a smidge deeper wouldn't hurt.

Very nice light weight shorts. They run a bit smaller than the traditional 5.11 shorts. Not a lot but if you were close on your old ones go up a size with these. Love the 11' inseam, I really wanted shorts that were a little longer than my old 5.11's.
The weight of the material is perfect for our hot summers.

I have purchased several of these in size 36. Granted, I have added a little weight sine purchase, but I find I still fit them - except for the dark blue ones, which are waaaay too small. Even though they show size 36, when laid on top of another pair, they are at least 2" smaller. Also, today I put on a pair I probably haven't worn before, and discovered my phone doesn't fit in the right slit pocket. It fits in all the others. I have about 15 pairs of shorts and even more long pants, 5.11, TruSpec and Propper. The 5.11 are by far my favorite as far as pocket location goes, but I need them to all be the same.
